I really love all the literary references, this is definitely a book for a book nerd (Franzen, Yellow Wallpaper, Poe). Still find it hard to stomach how emotionally inept and immature the MCs are, go to therapy!!

Okay, I don't love the multi-person perspective. The voices don't feel distinct enough and I'm confused about Mateo; but, so is he? Who knows where Greg's brain will take us. This cast of characters feels incredibly bi-polar when it comes to emotional maturity. Hopefully gramps, if he gets a section, can bring us back to solid, grumpy ground.
