So the first chapter is one of the cringiest things I’ve ever read. I’m glad I’ve battled through to chapter 10 - the world is interesting and so is the magic system, but I feel like it’s been an uphill battle from an awful first chapter and character who literally called himself “daddy” to the FMC ☠️

This was the cringiest first chapter of a book I have ever read. I would have DNFd if this wasn’t a bookclub book - I’m glad I battled through to chapter 10 since the world is interesting and magical system unique, but it’s been an uphill battle since the MMC literally called himself “daddy” to the FMC ☠️
We’ll see how I handle the rest of the book.
