From what I've read, Larry, Davis favored a guerrilla war od resistance while Lee turned down the idea---thank goodness.

Yes, right you are. I do feel that we still are fighting the civil war in many ways. Lee had had enough. This book is good. It really could have used a better editor. The authors latest 1861 was better. That’s for checking in Julio.
