Just got to the stuff about Mary and it’s… interesting. It brought up some specific points about the specific Greek word used for brother and how it isn’t exclusively used for biological sibling. However the argument as a whole comes off like they started with a conclusion and then sought out the reasoning to prove it later.

Addressed the problem of sin vs divine providence or “the scandal of sin” as they called it pretty well.

So far no new oddities found in comparison to reformed theology outside of the two I previously mentioned.

Ain’t no way they just gloss over the Apocrypha when taking about the Old and New Testaments. If they don’t address this later I’m going to be peeved…

I’m planing on comparing this and the Westminster Larger Catechism throughout the year. So far they pretty much align on everything outside of one statement out of the 100 I’ve read so far. Granted there’s 2865 total so we’ll see how many more differ as I get further in.
