A beautifully written book about the heaviness of guilt, shame, and abuse, and the healing power of reconciliation, food, and forgiveness. This was a re-read, and I’m keeping it at 4 stars (4.3 to be exact). I love the way food is used as a motif throughout the story. I also enjoyed mention of Nigerian folklore in a contemporary setting (I first heard of the term “ogbanje” in Chinua Achebe’s TFA.
