This is reading more as a slice of life about 1960’s era in the South. Jake, the MMC, has waaaay more daily interactions than any move to prevent the jfk assassination (aka the summary). The story’s not bad but it’s not at all what the synopsis made it sound like…

Just finished part 2! I will say that the time loop kinda makes each individual return to the 50’s obsolete with the results starting from scratch if the MC time travels again. Basically, anything the MC accomplished will be scrapped as the story starts over from zero again. Good to practice and redo if he makes mistakes. Bad because any good he brings won’t be kept with another return.

We've gotten more development with the ML finding a new lady love than anything to do with preventing the assassination and I'm halfway!
