Good news: things have finally started to happen.
Bad news: it was very contrived and I don't really care.
And the romance has officially started but I'm still not on board with it. I still don't want to read about a man falling in love w a nun even if she made the first move..... Just so odd....

Not sure if I'll continue it. I didn't realize that the woman in this book was a nun and just flatly I hate any romance written between a man and a nun. Just leave her alone (I thought for a bit that maybe the nun thing was a ruse but I don't think so).
There's also just zero conflict despite this taking place in an understaffed WWI field hospital? Ik that it's character story and not plot but still like...

Oh I didn't realize this was the North Woods author (which I haven't read but have heard endless praise about)... Anyways this is good so far though my Central Europe geography is not so good 😔.
