Also, like there 4 main gods of underling (Alva, Dacre and some) mentioned in the original duology who were sleeping in different graves. So what happened to all the others? Bade and Adria and all? And a lot of others.
(Or was it also mentioned in the duology.) (Did Dacre killed them and there was a mere mention? Or was it enva as well) Questions. I have questions

Also, I really didn't mention Vincent but he was a gentleman and really loved Matilda with everything he had. An extreme green flag. I might not have connected to the romance as deeply but his words were full of yearning and extremely touching. He literally waited 7 years of his life and defended her from the start. A sweet guy.
A lot of goods in the story. ❤️

Aaaaahhh I forgot- Adriaaa and Badeee. Their love? Excuse me. The glimpses we got were so good and I loved every bit of them 🥹❤️. The God of War literally going all soft for a mortal woman that he was planning to deceive at the start. Aaaaahh!! Excuse me but I would love a novella or book about them plsss.

But they were lovely still.
Loved the Bade and Matilda dynamic the mosttt!!!! It was everything. Also, I really liked Bade's character and wanted to see/know where and how he was at the end of the book (that felt missing). If Rebecca Ross decided to write more about him someday- I'd be first in line.
And REBECCA ROSS'S WRITING! It still is soo gorgeous and feels so good to read.
Overall- loved itt!

I really, really- reallyyy liked the book. However- I think I was expecting to love it more.
I loved the story, the world-building and especially seeing the stories of the Gods and being in that part of the world..but something was missing. I love Matilda and Vincent - but I didn't feel that connected to their romance. It didn't developed the way I was expecting maybe. But it didn't make me FEEELL..

She brought him back. She saved him. She called him father.
His hardest nightmare to get through was the one where he thought that he would not be able to protect her and would not be able to save her. Aaaaahhh bade. He called her daughter 😭
