Stunned that this is the same author as the marvelous Dungeon Crawler Carl series. I'm actually *this close* to giving up on the book. Huge disconnect between the premise and the execution. The stakes are there, on paper, but very little is happening, outside of inane banter between characters I care nothing about, led by an OP robot... This should own. It does not. Not even close.
