i want to bomb this book for putting me in a reading slump

i think what irritates me the most is that this is written by two authors and somehow they’ve still managed to think us as the readers aren’t smart. i don’t need you to explain the reasoning behind every single detail you’ve chosen, let us examine ur world without holding my hand please 🙏

i’m fighting demons trying to read this book. every other sentence makes me lose my faith in writing & reading (but those sentences in between do make me LOL)

yk what i just realized i don’t care and im not reading this anymore

20 pages in here are my thoughts:

1. the writing isn’t wowing me (i didn’t expect it to) but i think i’ll have a fun time here
2. i will never like a vampire plot, idk what it is about me or what ruined it for me but i hate them
3. i was not a wolf girl in middle school (shout out my baddies who were) so im going to have to learn what a beta is here real soon or things are going to get awkward!

is this a safe place to admit i’m kinda scared of this book for no reason
