I feel like there are better ways to convey Rand’s flawed mindset than “I must get harder” and it’s a wonder that both Jordan AND Sanderson missed this

Sanderson’s character work is much more blatant and straightforward than Jordan’s. A little too on the nose, but after so many books of so many details that could be needless clouding the aim of every scene, it’s kind of nice
