I continue to be impressed by the ideas Gibson was able to convey in a novel long before cyberpunk themes were mainstream. The descriptions of cyberspace manage to feel fresh but also familiar, though this might be due to being a foundational piece in the genre. I find myself at times needing to re-read sections to ensure I understood what's happening, but I believe that comes with the territory of the genre.
