1. Typo run-on
2. Is the older Cleopatra gonna chime in throughout the rest of the book? Idk I don’t like it

Can’t lie, lots of things seem to be overlooked. She talks about setting up hospitals and rebuilding, but we don’t see it. We see her rebuilding her library, but that’s for her, mostly. Even her relationship with Caesar felt rushed, along w/ what I said about Pothinus’ death + subsequent lack of consequence/mention of it & Theos’

(2) That story was what really made Cleopatra feel smart and crafty, and not just some woman who wanted to sleep with Caesar because "she had a huge libido."
idk it's just disappointing

(1) It's not an awful choice, but it's pretty disappointing for me bc that's one of my fav stories about Cleopatra. Whether she did it bc she was pissed he wouldn't see her/she wanted to seduce him, it was fcking smart. Who would think to roll themselves up in a carpet, let alone a royal who's likely never had to touch a carpet with anything other than her feet?
