The most boring novel I've read in my entire fucking life. There is not even a semblance of a plot. There have been maybe 1 or 2 funny anecdotes in the entire 135 pages I've read so far. Most of it is minute character study. So grandiose and so boring. A story of a simple love affair in Egypt blown out of fucking proportion by sentence structure so convoluted it makes Joyce look like Hemingway.
