Forgive me for spoiling (although the show has been out for a while)…I am pretty sure Penelope is giving up Lady Whistledown FOR Colin. While I recall that she put her pen down prior to his knowledge of her secret, his jealousy and distaste for the subject has seemed to influence her future. I suppose I don’t get to be upset when a book follows clear sociological rules, but I didn’t think her role was over yet!
