damn! this book is on track for 5 stars how marvelous! in the middle of a sort of rage zombie apocalypse, we get a GLOW style pro wrestling arc. none of the adult characters are very likable or good, kind people. theyre all unhealed abuse victims there are echoes of many former friends and distant family in these characters. i love this book! misogyny and patriarchy suck and should be abolished!

hooooly moly! this book is getting 5 stars, for sure! the GLOW style pandemic wrestling league is ridiculously charming and entirely plausible looking at all the ridiculousness around us i just finished a part i was hoping would be there where one of the characters encounters a small group of maybe anarchists distributing underground vaccines i was not aware of that with covid, but kinda did during AIDS blessed book!

yikes! this book is bleak! its not the 28 days later rage zombie apocalypse book i thought it would be, no, its slow torturous death by a thousand cuts lile all abuse stories are except when theyre quicker violent, vulgar beatings or other horrors. as the author warns there is definitely an unskippable animal death. its off screen and mercifully quick but cant be missed. such a good book so far!
