Also, I’m 35% through this book and there hasn’t been a single mention of a relic, like is so emphasized in the show. I wondered early on about the children’s books with bright colors, and how that wouldn’t be considered a relic, but now I’m wondering more and more if that is even a thing in the book?

Very glad I’m reading this book after watching the show. It turns out I don’t hate Jules, Jahns, or Marnes. I just hated their actors?

I thought it was established that the poison was for Marbes, not the Mayor, and she was incidental? So why are we pontificating on the motive for murdering the mayor?</spoiler>

This prose is great

Y’aaalllll. I made the right choice in DNFing my last book and picking this one up. I can already tell.
