So Erebus is the shadow king… and Sel is gone. I can’t believe this. Part of me is utterly heartbroken. Sel was everything to me. I loved him. Still do. Him not being human anymore because of other people’s cruelty… Him not being able to end up with Bree when he needed this so much. I don’t love this book. I really don’t.

Okay I was not expecting what happened in this section of the book. Arthur stole Bree’s body what the hell??? And it’s so funny when he speaks, he takes himself so seriously but he’s a girl now so it’s funny. Also I HATE Tor and I hope Sarah breaks up with her now. I mean why the hell would she stay in a relationship with someone like that? Ew. Anyways, crazy. I can’t wait for Bree to be back.

FINALLY A KISS! Omg I was dying for that kiss and I’m so glad it happened. I’m so team Sel. Nick left her, left them both. Yeah he’s hurting but Sel chose to hurt near her EVERY SINGLE TIME! That kiss? That moment? It was everything.

Nick, Bree and Sel are so weird together lol there is this tension between the three of them, between Nick and Sel, and Nick and Bree, and Sel and Bree that is just so weird. It does look like it’s a throuple thing.

A declaration like that and no kiss???? I swear Tracy Deonn if I don’t get a Sel and Bree kiss I’m going to riotttttttt!!!

I hate Nick right now because Sel and Bree are only in danger because of him and he ran away like a coward and left them behind. Even though he knew Sel needed to fulfill his kingsmage oath. Nick was selfish and horrible in that moment.

This was all supposed to be a very action packed sequence and evoke lots of feeling but I felt nothing 🥹 I couldn’t understand half the things that were happening. People just keep saying Bree is so powerful but I truly don’t understand 🥲I can’t see it. And Nick running away? What a selfish bastard. Sel all the way.

It hurts me how broken Sel is. I think there is no torture greater than the one he’s going through right now. He’s in love with someone he can’t have because he might lose his mind and kill her. He is on the verge of losing his sanity, his feelings, and he didn’t care before but now he does because there is this person he cares about so much. I need Sel to have a happy ending.

So Sel is succumbing and he mesmered Bree so she wouldn’t see it. Man, I know it’s bad but he really does care what she thinks. He doesn’t want her to worry about him or to think he’s a monster because he likes her far too much. It’s painful for him to think she could see him become a demon.

Selwyn being wild as always: “Then I would say you look… devourable,” 🤣🤣🤣 laughing now but when I read this scene I was like 🥵 “it’s kinda hot in here” poor Nick! Sel’s getting Bree good with his weird convos lately.
