great parody book. bukowski has a way of making everything sound awful. i love it. having read some of his earlier stuff makes this better, i feel like if this is the first bukowski you read it’s easy to get the wrong impression..maybe take it too seriously. i like reading bukowski because it makes me feel pretentious.
