The intro by Gillian Anderson is great . For me this is a compendium of short stories for you to pick and choose and read the ones that you want to read when you want to read them. It's not about commentary on the individual women's fantasies The book gives voice to the voiceless. I haven't finished the book by any stretch of the standard, but a lot of the lower star reviews seem to be based on reading out of context
