i’m really enjoying that this book has SO much emphasis on preston’s perspective, because obviously the conflict is going to come from him, and his slow development to SOMETHING bad happening to him?? god and ava reid’d writing is BEAUTIFUL it’s poignant it’s full of Delicious imagery and i can just taste Everything.. and effy :( my poor girl im so proud of her development but DAMN give her a break!!!

AND ANGHARAD!! so badass, like giving her that inheritance and then giving this baddie a bob cut?? DIVA!!! she deserves it!! the dramatic melancholy of this entire book and the JOY and bright sunniness of the ending is so jarring, but it’s so funny and my babies deserve it, esp w the overarching theme of Political Unrest and Violence

anyways loved the overarching world theme of Nationalism and Facism.. lowkey thinking abt the relevance this has ESPECIALLY for palestine during the time this was written & published!! luved how the solution overall was to literally tear down the belief system that was Created with rhat hatred and nationalism, and then that grant?? well not everything can be torn down, but ykw turning the university on its head is a start!!
