I'm on chapter 11 of the final book. As it happens Alice Hunter Pace is not an individual but two authors who co-write. That may explain the rather patchy impression I have. I suspect I will give the box set a 3 star rating when I finally finish.

Just finished book #5 (a novella) Heath's Hope. Rather weak but I guess it is difficult to create much depth in such a short story. So-so 2.5 stars?

Now at chapter 6 of book 4 and I'm getting bored again. It's okay but it's not like I'm dying to find out what happens. I suppose it is because not much will and the characterisation isn't enough to carry my interest. Maybe I should read something else and come back to this instead of trying to read the whole series in go.

Just finished book #3 "Reforming Gabe" which sagged a bit in the middle but picked up at the end.

I'm getting bored.

Just completed book#2 Nickolai's Noel: another 3 star rating for this one.

So I have completed book #1 in this box set, so at least some of if not all of the remaining 5 stories must be novellas. So far I'd give a 3 star rating. Okay but nothing special.

I don't think I am writing a "spoiler" here because very early on we can guess what has happened to Emory, but for Jackson to think she is lying because there is no police record of the incident makes him sound stupid or alternatively he isn't the sensitive guy he has been portrayed as.
