The 13 men that F saw finally arrive. JL has rear guard while F and L9 take the front.
F kills 3 with the bow, 1 in a pit trap and 1 with the sword.

The council regroups to talk about what to do and Glotka tosses the ambassadors head onto the table. The MQ & V know that the gig is up, admitting theit folly and that the let the gurkish in. An embassy for the gurkish army arrives to speak to the counsel, nobody tells Glotka or K (the priest). He arrives to hear orders to surrender by sunset. Instead he has frost and severard kidnap and torture the man as he leaves. They get him to admit the Vult and the merchant queen betrayed the city and plan to let him in.

Three trees reports to west that Bethod is <5 days march from camp. They tell the prince who demands they attack. Boldness is the best strategy if you’re an idiot. West is painfully aware that they have no chance of winning. The army is uncoordinated even leaving the camp. They send riders to the lieutenant telling him their brigade is likely dead by the time he is getting this message

L9s band decide to move inward despite Bayaz being out. Q steps up with surprising forcefulness. F sees riders about a day away, riding hard…. That demon blood is strong as hell. Her and L begun to set up defenses in the high ground. She seem to actually like him at this point and doesn’t even concern running untill L mentions it. L9 gives JL a pep talk, men freeze there first time it’s common.

Glotka sends people to start building up a wall on the port which gets weird looks from the generals as the Gs army has never used a navy before.
The man who runs the mercenaries seems excited to be reviving wartime pay and is able to strategize a bit with Glotka
