OH and another thing. Why about Hayden?! She just completely forgets how desperate she was to get to him? Like suddenly she thinks he’s protected???! He’s probably still STARVING while she has been quite literally feasting, immortal, in love, surrounded by friends with a roof under her head and unlimited water supply? AND NOW there’s a quicksilver pool in Ammontraieth all the while knowing how to make relics??

I should probably be patient to see what’s to come but so far I am perturbed. This book is nothing like the first. The characters are VASTLY different. Fisher is suddenly sweet?? And saeris doesn’t want to go home and wears dresses and is playing Queen? This is just so far off from what I liked about book 1 and am struggling to keep with this one.
