The beefy introduction started slow but got better as it went on.
Book 1 - sublime, gets you hooked immediately the poetry is lyrical and vivid
Book 2 - a tale of two cities, it continues strong but then the gathering of the armies and proceeding to name every protagonist no matter how insignificant dragged. It lasted 12 pages and a lot of it doesn’t sink in
Boom 3 - introduction of Helen and Paris and its great

Don’t blame me, blame Homer. Every time a woman speaks, she seems to use the phrase “bitch that I am”. Especially Helen of Troy.
