I get it’s a kids book but I mean it’s not that much of a kids book when it’s dealing with alcoholism and murder…that being said a lot of stuff happens and I don’t know why. Just kind of bam next thing gloss over the how we got there, next thing, no real stakes, on to the next thing, deus ex machina, bam next thing. I think it’s insulting to children to think they don’t deserve better storytelling.
