"And suddenly there was with the Angel a multitude of heavenly hosts praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, good will toward men.'"…Maybe next Christmas Dad will be here with us…Molly looked down the pew. She saw a tear caught like a tiny diamond in the corner of her mother's eye, shining in the light of the candle.

A product of my readings order is seeing the parallels between Molly and Jill as well as Courtney and Tina from Courtney Changes the Game. I really enjoy how each book grapples with pre teen drama that feels grounded and lived in. Tina and Jill are both in that awkward 13-14 year old phase almost 40 years apart and the tenor of the story feels in dialogue with one another without white washing their lived experience
