The author decided to flex his French for a whole chapter (by 2 characters having conversations in French with no translation) which made me relieved and pleased to understand it 🙂‍↕️🇫🇷

He uses "hitherto" so much (and never other synonyms) that a word that was foreign to me before quickly became overused. This repetition also happened with "for" or "oneself" used in certain ways. A tad bit annoying. The reflections and MC's voice as a child is very well done, though. Interesting storyline idea, hoping it becomes more interesting with the ending and all...
