The more I read of EPL the more I dread watching the movie because there is no way a 2-hour movie made by Ryan Murphy could capture the wit and surprising emotional depth this novel has

Wonder what this book must be like to read this book without being fully enveloped in the American symbolic. So far she has referenced the film 'Field of dreams', comedian Lily Tomlin and the fall of Saigon, all very American references without much significance outside
