also i like josella! if anyone ever tries to tell you that misogyny in literature was just a feature of the times, whack them over the head with a copy of day of the triffids.

i love when a sci-fi book has cool detailed science facts about The Creatures instead of just relying on them being unknown and unknowable. They spent years studying triffids and still were no match for them lmao
