8. “A Fruitful Sunday”. Okay so turns out the necklace was not stolen but merely a marketing strategy. Right…

7. “Jane in Search of a Job”. I think the premise of the story promised more than the story actually delivered. A typical “doppelgänger” replacement theme.

6. “Accident” - a short but punchy one. A suspicious inspector had it coming…

4. “Sing a Song of Sixpence”. The story I thoroughly enjoyed, but not its ending. I find it counterproductive to write a crime story and introduce the characters as potential murderers and then announce at the end of the story that a person not even once mentioned was guilty. Kind of anticlimax.

3. “The Girl in the Train” is a cute story but it falls a bit flat. Could’ve been expanded to a novel

Story 2 “Philomel Cottage”. Now that’s an intriguing one. Newlyweds, affair from the past, anxiety looming over abandoned cottage, and an open-ended plot twist with question mark.
