Gonna read the notes tomorrow!
All I can think is how it really is such a shame that much of the remaining words of Sappho are in fragments so small as to be almost completely meaningless, devoid of any textual or contextual details
Double whammy: not only is it largely lost, it's also in translation!!!! 😩😩😩😩
