Rudy told Ben that he was a child molester and that he caused a 14 y/o boy to kill himself. Ben has a new therapist that he doesnt like. Ben isn't giving up on his Malcolm X project, causing his teacher to get upset with him and tells him to stop. Ben doesn't care that he is going to fail because it is his choice. I enjoyed what I read with this book

Ben is told by Dallas that she got pregnant when her uncle molested her. He doesn't tell her that he is dying.

A girl argues with her teacher that is the football coach on reading. She doesn't like that Ben is reading the autobiography of Malcolm X, and brings up how people can burn the american flag, but can burn books. The teachers response is to go to the library, buy the autobiography of Malcolm X, then burn it. Ben goes to a football game that he plays in a college stadium that ends his season.

Ben goes to Dallas' house after practice everyday. He talks about Cody's future with football and college. He talks to his dad about his mom and her problems.

Ben's therapist wont have meetings with him anymore. He tries to make a road named after Malcolm X

Ben plays the homecoming game, and make the winning touchdown. He goes to the homecoming dance with Dallas Suzuki. He goes back to her house to spend the night.

Ben goes on his date with Dallas. It starts off with her asking him questions about football, and school. Then there conversation becomes more personal. She asks him to homecoming. They go, then go back to here house. After he goes to here house he goes to the lake. He goes to here volleyball game, and she loses. She asks him to take her straight home, and nothing happens between them.

Ben has dreams about a guy named Hey-Soos that he is able to talk to and ask questions. He go's to "The Chief" with Dallas Suzuki, his crush.
