So glad I pushed through the first ten pages. It’s a pretty gripping historical fiction that is equal parts accurate and juicy.

Ok I’m trying to give grace here and keeping an open mind. So far the diction isn’t great but the story itself has enough intrigue to keep me going. Truly having a problem with the sentences “They will be raped first. For men, death and desire go hand in hand.” Rape has nothing to do with desire.
