Okay, so I have a theory. I think Aspen is Gwen's mother, and for a good reason. I really think Aspen and Kingsley have history together, which resulted in her being with child. However, she either didn't tell him or was going to but her parents found out, and later, when she had the child, they told her it had died and left the child on Kingsley's father door step.
