I love seeing where we come from and I just hope that we continue moving forward.

I've seen the photo of Inez Mulholland on the white horse wearing the white cape but I did not know the story surrounding it. However, I am not surprised that women were beaten/spit on by violent groups of men as police did nothing but Boy Scouts did. Sad to learn that her and others of the time did not fight for black women or women of color to vote whether it was out of placating white men or downright racism.

This book needs to stop making me cry lol
Also, "America The Beautiful" really should be our national anthem. Words about the love of American people and lands for America. I've always liked that better. Thank you Katherine Lee Bates ❤️

I started reading on to the next person and then I stopped because I want to sit with each person I learn about.
