Okay I figured out what’s wrong with the book: Clytemnestra’s like a stereotypical “bad bitch” and Agamemnon is cruelly evil for little reason. Like he’s just outright evil and there’s no complexity in his character :/

I read the first 40% of this on a plane ride and I’m crashing out like no one fucking deserves this betrayal and loss 😭 but also the writing is a bit meh and I’m still unclear as to why Tyrandeus wasn’t immediately punished by the gods for violating his role as host to Tantalus??
