I would like to take a moment to express my disdain for Edward Cullen and all the other cowardly tortured heroes/bad guys who wallow in their own self pity and reject those who care about them “to protect them”. It’s boring, stupid and selfish, and most of all BORING. Why is this type of character loved so much? I don’t get it.

I think the problem with first person view romance is that the protagonist has to be dense by necessity. Like, she’s mentions several times him looking at her lips, but at the same time she’s like “oh, I wonder what all this tension is? 🤔🤔🤔” GIRL
