A Great follow up Novel, of Pride and Prejudice by the author Maya Slater. Fascinating account from Mr. Darcy's perspective. The writing and words are true to Jane Austen's style. I do take exception to Mr. Darcy having trysts while in pursuit of Miss Elizabeth Bennett. In Pride in Prejudice, you find Mr. Darcy as a man of discipline and always trying to perfect himself.

Mr. Darcy continues to find distractions to eliminate any thoughts of Elizabeth from his mind. But he finds it impossible. She is on his mind while awake and in his dreams. He even fantasizes about running into her by chance encounter. On once such occasion, he is arriving at his Pemberly estate and imagines here around the corner of the house and low and behold he looks up and thought he saw a ghost. Their she was!

Although, Mr. Darcy convinces himself that Ms. Elizabeth Bennett is beneath his lot in life and her family not worthy of his good graces. He cannot stop thinking of Lizzy. He made it a point to visit Rosings during Easter knowing Lizzy will be there visiting her friend Charlotte Lucas-Collins. Darcy makes excuses to go to the parsonage as often as he can and eventually is rejected by her on his first proposal.
