Hermoine is a muggle-born smart girl. I think that since she was born into a family of muggles she feels that she needs to prove herself by knowing as much as she can about magic. Hermoine sees everyone equally and stands up for what she believes in, which makes her brave. She also uses literature to help solve her problems. The biggest thing about Hermoine is that she is a protective and loyal friend.40 pgs

Harry Potter is set in a society with magic. This shapes Harry's teenage years because he now can really find and express his true identity. Growing up with muggles Harry never knew the real story about his parents or his special powers. When Harry finally moves to Hogwarts he learns about his past and why he is special. This helps him embrace who he truly is.

I can relate to Harry Potter. One thing that makes him and I alike is our curiosity. Harry is always determined to figure out mysteries and problems. I also am like this, and I never back down from a challenge. In the book, Harry is very protective of his friends. This is the same for me because I stand up and fight for my friends no matter what. My reading goal this week is 35 pages.
