I’m sure something is going to go terribly wrong, but it’s great seeing Kaladin train the bridgemen. Really hope at the very least his plan to gather objects from the chasms works.

It’s been so long since I last read a Stormlight fight scene. Storms and damnation, Kaladin is badass. I’m a little peeved he didn’t take the Shardblade but I get his decision. Lighteyes suck and it was just used to slaughter his squad. He may have missed a lot of opportunities, but he’s justified. He needs a hug.

I have a lot to say here. But my theory is that before Tanavast / Honor died, he foresaw a purpose for Kaladin. Maybe like Dalinar and his visions, Kaladin has a purpose foreseen by the Almighty. Something the Stormfather knows.

In Kaladin’s case, his purpose is to do something with the broken and abandoned Oathpact

Last time I updated my progress, I finished chapter 39. Since then I’ve finished 40, 41, 42 and 43.

42 and 43 were finished today during snowmageddon. Great way to pass the time. Proud of myself.

I’ve only finished one book in 2025. I’m the most washed nerd ever. Gotta lock in and finish this book come 2026.
