The total industry volume for 2025 reached approximately $44 billion, nearly five times the previous year's total.

Prediction markets, supposedly, differ from gambling by functioning as peer-to-peer, regulated financial exchanges where users trade event-based contracts based on information, rather than betting against a house with fixed, unfavorable odds.
