I've been so hesitant lately to jump into a new fantasy series and then this was recommended to me again and i finally caved. How lovely that i did, this is stunning so far. And it also is going to absolutely shatter me, I'm afraid.

There's "This one wasn't for me" and "This is a bad book overall" - one of those is a opinion and the other simply false, haha 😂😂

And I've had unfollowed quite a few people over the years just because of how they approach a 'bad read' and how they talk about the writing and the content and the author! When it's a favourite read, obviously, it hits different but in general I think there shouldn't be any space for rudeness around books and on here, you know?!

I get you, but I recall being rude in quite a few reviews as well, haha. But - I usually come with receipts, if that makes it better, haha.
No, but honestly, I sometimes cope by writing harsh reviews as well (firm believer of reviewer spaces != author spaces), and while there are reviews, I put a lot of effort into (mine of "Glow" would be an example), sometimes I just can't be arsed and I might end up leaving just a snide little comment as review. That's fine for me, too.
Circling back, having someone claim a book they simply disliked as a horrible piece of literature, just makes me disregard anything they go on to say about other books, so I just tend to ditch instead of aggroing myself anytime I read another review of theirs 😂
