I expected this book to be a poetic journey through the authors experiences of driving and car culture. Turns out this book is a series of essays that complain mostly about modern technologies that impose on driving.

The amount of times the author mentions "and I looked over to see the other driver on their phone" is only slightly less annoying than actually seeing another driver on their phone.
