So they’re at the paper village now. Curious to see if Basen and Jinchi can keep up the whole switcheroo situation while they’re all visiting the quack doctor’s family. Also the older nephew of the quack doctor is making me UPSET. Heaven forbid the quack doctor basically sell his soul to the rear palace so his sister doesn’t have to serve there. No hate on my man. 🥹

Enjoy the narrative of there being an encroaching environmental catastrophe with the fall of the Shi clan. I appreciate the detail of the falling action in that regard. I really miss Mao Mao being in the rear palace! I really want to meet the crown prince now that he’s been born!
