I finally finished Genesis

I love Genesis 39, where Joseph is cast into prison and God helps him and other people who are incarcerated. It took just 60 pages until a prison is mentioned in the entire Bible. Why does the majority of the world do not care about people who are incarcerated, when even the Bible teaches that people who are incarcerated deserve support and love?

I think Genesis 37 is my favorite chapter of Genesis. I wish I could express all my thoughts in this update, but I could analyze this chapter forever. I really like the metaphor of "the coat of many colors". I often think about this chapter, because it portrays what happens if an individual is misunderstood. But it is also a warning, because some people just have hate in their hearts, instead of love.

I’ve never considered myself an Old Testament girlie but these stories are WILD like what happens? Reading Genesis feels like watching a movie where constant plot twists occur
