Wir müssen von Anderen geliebt werden. Wer glaubt, sich selbst zu lieben, hasst sich am Ende selbst, weil er mit dem Versuch nur seine eigene Endlichkeit affirmiert. Dann hasst er auch andere dafür, dass sie diese Unmöglichkeit nie erkannt haben oder sich das Gegenteil vorgaukeln. In dem man andere dafür nun hasst, liebt man sich selbst dafür, dass man sich nicht mehr belügt.

I have a feeling so far that Marion is a little out of his depth with this project. While he acknowledges the radicalness of replacing the question "What is being?" with the question "Am I loved?" as philosophy's primary question, it cannot be understated that - if he is convincing - this would lead to a complete re-evaluation of much of the history of philosophy.
That alone should be a reason to read carefully...
