The first 5 pages do hook me into the book because it asks me what's gonna happen next, and what more could I expect like could the main character change from the first impression I'm getting from them. They do this by making the story start off in a first person point of view which is pretty nice to add that realistic diary feel for the book.

The interesting side plot from the background of this story, is when it goes into one of the main characters Brewster's brother point of view. This shows the truth of Brewster's powers from his little brothers point of view Cody which is interesting it adds more and gets their relationship higher caring for each other.

The main character's catalyst would be just getting to meet each other since the book is told from different points of view. That is not really an incident as such but it gets the story going the real catalyst is around the quarter section of the story, when one the main characters Tennyson has his bruises on his knuckles go away mysteriously when around one of the other main characters Brewster.

The author keeps on adding more to the characters, making even the background characters via the protagonist parents to have their own troubles which interfere and cause more questions to ask and for the story to have more dialogue adding suspense if something good or bad happens next.

I feel the protagonist in this book is quite likable, but it feels their is more than one protagonist cause it goes from Tennyson the first protagonist's point of view to his sister's Bronte. Other than that they are both likable characters in their own way having differing personalities that add more to the story.

I think the author chose the name Tennyson, was to add that small light bit of representation but also misdirection. With the name Tennyson meaning strong, refined, and mature while Tennyson is strong and refined he is not mature the book even saying his name is confusing for what type of character he is.
