The attention I received, the kindness, courtesy, consideration and friendliness of everyone I met, more than compensated for my physical discomfort. I felt and detected a differencein the relationship between people. there was something in this African society I had never detected in the European Communityin which i lived in Waddilove.It was difficult to say exactly what it was, yet it was unmistakably there :
