More I read the earthsea series, the more I am inclined to believe that George R.R Martin was influenced by Ursula Le Guin's writings or both were influenced by some other early work which I am not aware. In A song of ice and fire series magic suddenly reappears and direwolves and dragons starts appearing again. Here in third book of earthsea magic suddenly disappears in certain part of their world.
